Well, I decided this week to possibly do a great factoid on the much maligned and hated Uwe Boll. A director known in the US for directing drivel films usually. I was counting the # of his films on IMDB's bottom 100 list (4 by the way), when I came across a much better and funnier fun factoid. After having read the feedback concerning the movie in question, I feel perfectly at ease asking everyone to rush to their nearest Blockbuster or logon to Netflix and rent the next great masterpiece of bad, this day and age's Plan 9 from Outer Space...Anus Magilicutty!!!! Seriously, that's the name of the movie and apparently it was 99% unscripted, which ALWAYS goes well with new people on camera where every flaw is magnified. The name alone makes me want to see this sure to be terrible film and then couple it with bad improv and I am there in a heartbeat. IF someone sees this movie, please, Please, PLEASE write a review for it and send it to me to post. also, if you want to let me borrow the film, I won't mind. :) I hope this brightens your day, I know it did mine. And for all my friends, don't be surprised if I just start using a new descriptive phrase for you....What a ridiculous friggin title. Uwe Boll may be bad but this is why he isn't THAT bad.

Fun Factoid for July
Okay so it's not July yet but here is a fun tidbit. I'll give you a better one later but this is a good one. So, if you are a Harry Potter fan and you like watching the movies, there is one you have to see. I was just reading an interview with Rupert Grint(Ron Weasley) where he stated that he wanted to continue acting and I think if he continues to do it he has improved greatly since the first movie. I know when Driving Lessons came out I was a bit wary but the reviews have now convinced me to go see it. So he should have a future and I don't know how much he will get once the Potter series ends due to the same disease most Bonds have of being either typecast or thought of as only one character. Since I am a film maker I decided to look up his schedule since if I direct a feature it will probably be about the time he finishes the Potter series. In doing so, I found out that not only did he do Driving Lessons, he also did some British television movie and get this, before Harry Potter 1 and 2 he managed to get in a movie called Thunderpants. I have never heard of it but seeing that it is in the top worst 85 films on IMDB with a 2 star rating makes me excited!! The plot synopsis invoves a boy with superhuman farts who winds up in prison and there are also a lot of famous people in the movie including Paul Giamatti. It is bizarre looking! I highly recommend looking it up on IMDB and then if you are interested in terrible films, rent it. Anyhow, there you go. Now go forth and enjoy bad films while I write a review of the original Ocean's 11 and Evan Almighty!!

Fun Factoid of June
So last month I brought all of you readers a loving fact regarding the hilarity of the Leprechaun movies. This month, I bring you 411 behind another well known series of movies, The Crow! Now, as most may know, the first movie of The Crow featured Brandon Lee, the son of Bruce Lee, who was shot and killed in an action scene. From all accounts by the filmmakers, they didn't use that scene since they felt it would have been disrespectful. The first film was a goth hit that then spawned several lackluster sequels. However, the man who directed the first film was a little known director at the time who proved he had vision and was then subsequently hired to bigger projects such as I, Robot. Yep, that's right, Alex Proyas. The same man behind Dark City. I didn't know this at the time, but apparently the movie is based off of a popular indie comic book by James O'Barr. Check it out. Now, for the good stuff.
Here's the series entries and lets see how many you have ever heard of.
The Crow (1994) featuring Brandon Lee
The Crow: City of Angels (1996) featuring Vincent Perez and written by David Goyer
The Crow: Stairway to Heaven (tv series 1998) featuring Marc Dacascos
The Crow: Salvation (2000) featuring Eric Mabius and Kirsten Dunst!
The Crow: Wicked Prayer (2005) featuring Tara Reid and Edward Furlong.
Man, I don't know what to say. Apparently all the good actors but take their turn getting the crap kicked out of them for making one of these films. Goyer later went on to direct The Invisible, Blade Trinity, and wrote Batman Begins. Edward Furlong started with Terminator II as the original John Connor. Tara Reid is...well, Tara Reid. Kirsten Dunst still surprises me. Apparently out of all of these, the only one that is supposedly any good is the television series which has no stars! Lol. Well, I'm sure that this franchise will never die if only because the first one was so good and it is one of the few movie series meant for Goths by Goths. Oh yea, let's not forget the recent remake of The Crow by the fans called Wings of the Crow, which has no names in it and apparently is terrible. Eric Drake changed to Erika? Please, what a ripoff. Anyhow, that's my fun factoid of the week. Maybe some time soon I will go out and watch all of these films back to back for some terrible fun.

Fun Factoid May 2007
Alright, so in an attempt to add variety and interest to this blog, I figure I would share some fun, mostly useless knowledge when I came across it each month. This month's fun factoid is all about Warwick Davis whom some of you might recognize as...drumroll...WILLOW! Yes, the man is everywhere and if you are like me, you probably wondered what ever happened to him after that movie? Well...apparently everything. He seems to be the most overworked actor short person in Hollywood followed by Peter Dinklage. Let's see, did you realize that he is an essential fantasy movie actor? All the Harry Potter films, Willow, the upcoming Chronicles of Narnia film, Star Wars episodes I and VI and two of the made-for-tv Star Wars films. The guy runs his own agency for the vertically challenged, which I have to admit is really cool. Now if only writers and directors would write more parts for short people so that they could recieve the kudos they deserve. Now, for the fun part.
For those that didn't know, Warwick Davis plays the role of a popular well-known horror creature. Have you guessed it yet? Yep, that's right. Leprechaun. Now, with that being said, I am all about the Leprechaun films and apparently so is he judging from the list of titles in the series that are obviously terrible just from reading the title. So, with that said, enjoy the list and marvel at Warwick Davis in all of his good humor.
1. Leprechaun
2. Leprechaun 2
3. Leprechaun 3
4. Leprechaun 4: In Space
5. Leprechaun in the Hood
6. Leprechaun: Back 2 Tha Hood
Now having been someone who has seen Leprechaun in the Hood, I completely appreciate the more farcical approach of the franchise. I am now dying to see Leprechaun 4: In Space and the new Back 2 Tha Hood. After all, if in the first hood movie Ice T can pull a bat out of his friends afro to beat on the Leprechaun, then I'm friggin hooked. There you go, a fun list of a decent franchise turned spooftastic. I know Warwick loves these movies, and so should you.
